Distrelec is a leading provider of technical and electronic components in several European markets. The company has very complex requirements: The new online shop was to be rolled out in 32 markets, and contains over 250.000 products. The shop relaunch was designed to improve the user experience and simplify internal flows, while also making the shop marketing more effective.
Based on the hybrid Multichannel Accelerator, the shop was integrated on the launch date with 12 peripheral systems:
- Several market-specific ERPs
- Product Information System (PIM)
- Open Catalogue Interface (OCI)
- Ariba Procurement Solution
- Factfinder Conversion Solution
- IntelliAd Performance Marketing Platform
- Optivo E-Mail Marketing
Distrelec and Namics collaborated closely on the project and developed the shop in teams consisting of employees from both companies.
The relaunch gave Distrelec a technically and visually modern online shop. Integrating the peripheral systems simplified internal processes. The offer and product information is automatically synchronised with third-party systems. The transaction, product and customer information is available in the marketing systems. Thanks to the know-how and expertise gained during the project, the Distrelec development team has been capable of managing shop operations since the launch.
