Relaunch Famigros - Full service from a single source
Fresh and emotional: new portal creates inspiration for families and pregnant women
Famigros is the family portal of Migros, the largest retailer in Switzerland. Expectant parents and families will find there practical tips and inspiring ideas about pregnancy and family life.
Originating from our long-term partnership with Migros, we are able to take over and supervise the relaunch of Famigros holistically. The aim is to establish the Famigros as a personal companion in the daily lives of families. The new portal should inspire, inform and encourage the purchase of suitable products.
In addition to the technical implementation, the challenge is not only to migrate the content on the site, but rather to optimize it in terms of added value, usability and filter options.
For the implementation we choose the agile Scrum method:
- After a foundation phase with several design sprints, a rough concept emerges.
- Then the technical implementation starts with a total of seven sprints.
- In parallel, we continue to develop the concept and create user stories.
- From Sprint 3, the content migration started at the same time.
We worked with content management system Magnolia which is used by Migros since many years. This allows us to use and further develop already implemented components.
The new portal convinces with a fresh and emotional design. The enthralling content allows families easy access to excursions, recipes or crafting tutorials.
Searching and finding topics is much easier and more intuitive thanks to new filtering features.
Matching ideas or products are dynamically offered on every page and create added value.
A family profile allows users to view personalized content.
Technically speaking, there are new data processes: the administration of the family data is arranged simpler and the membership conditions run automatically. In addition, linking Famigros with the Migros Login and Cumulus creates a completed Internet presence.
