Venerable Swiss manufacturer Victorinox wanted to introduce a multi-channel e-business platform, an exclusive online brand experience and direct online sales as ways of preparing for the company’s digital future.
Today, exclusive Victorinox stores sell the company’s products directly to customers. The aim was to bring this flagship store experience and customer service to life online with an international brand platform – not just an online shop.
Victorinox hired Namics to work on two integrated projects:
The first was to create a global website, which gives customers access to the company’s exclusive offline brand experience on the internet. The second was to develop an e-shop as a multichannel solution which would pave the way for international direct sales.
We worked closely with Victorinox to create a detailed concept for a “mobile first” approach involving a responsive website and an innovative shop. We developed a clickable prototype and sophisticated design concept to bring it to life.
We conducted extensive usability testing prior to implementation. We defined the relevant processes and technical architecture at the same time, and also introduced a new PIM system.
hybris is the basis for the shop, PIM and website – an integrated solution for all channels from a single source. We also secured connections to various third-party systems as well as fulfilment providers.
In addition to technical work, Namics helped Victorinox create online content, a newsletter and online communication to bring relevant, concise and interesting information to customers. We also integrated a tracking system we developed to accurately analyse site traffic.
Victorinox launched a digital transformation in this collaboration with Namics, ensuring the company’s future viability with its modern e-business platform. The new website and shops are essential parts of this comprehensive brand identity and sales concept.
A clear, streamlined design and high usability create an online brand experience which represents the traditional brand in an appropriate way in the digital space. Victorinox integrated analytical tools to easily monitor and constantly optimize this experience over time.
Victorinox has laid the foundation for the development of a cross-channel world designed to make shopping an experience. The new global website gives the starting shot for rollouts in the entire world.
